ABOUT THE GOLDEN ANIMALS
In November, 2010, Golden Animals moved back to Brooklyn with over 100 as yet unreleased songs added to their catalog. They formed in 2006 out of a mutual love for a sonic current that can be traced from blues to psychedelic rock and into garage & grunge. In 2007, they moved west by van to the desert in California where they’d spent most of the next 3 years in seclusion among the rattlesnakes and scorpions, beneath the mad suns and glowing moons. The forgotten parts of Southern California provided a limitless canvas of endless space for them to form their atlas of sounds and ideas. Without noise restrictions and little or no rent to be paid, they found a way to spend most of their time writing songs and living like nomads moving from vacant home to vacant home as "house-sitters", where they could set up their gear and play loud into the night. The other half of their time was spent on the road playing shows, living out of their van and touring extensively throughout the West Coast, US and UK. The duo is currently living in Brooklyn and performing in the New York area.
